Burl

Early access open

Everyone brings their own AI. One project, built together.

Burl is a shared workspace for small software teams, where each person works with their own Claude and every AI change comes back as something to keep or discard.

How it works

  1. Connect your own Claude

Sign in with GitHub and connect your own Claude account. Your AI always runs on your account.

  2. Ask for a change

Ask your AI in a channel or a conversation. It makes the change in its own copy of the project and shows it to you before anything lands.

  3. Keep it, or let your team’s rule land it

By default, an owner’s clean change to ordinary files lands by itself. Teammates’ changes, clashes and sensitive files wait for review. Your team can choose to review every change.

Why teams use Burl

It’s for small teams who already use AI to write code and want to build one project together without stepping on each other. Solo builders who plan to bring people in later are welcome too.

  • Clashes are shown, never overwritten

When two people’s changes touch the same lines, Burl asks someone to choose: keep one, keep the other, or have their AI combine both.

  • Your AI stays yours

Each person’s AI runs on their own Claude account. Burl never shares or pools anyone’s AI sign-in.

  • Ask a teammate’s AI

If your team allows it, you can ask a teammate’s AI a question, even when they’re away. It answers read-only, without access to their private notes.

  • Private stays private

Private channels for part of the team, and personal notes that only you and your own AI can see.

Questions

Which AI does it work with?
Claude, for now. Each person connects their own Claude account, and it needs Claude Code access. You sign in to Burl with GitHub.
Is my code or AI account shared with my team?
Your AI account isn’t. Each person’s AI runs on their own Claude account, and Burl never shares or pools anyone’s sign-in. The project itself is shared with the people on it, but your personal notes stay between you and your own AI, and private channels are visible only to their members.
What does it cost?
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet.
When will I get access?
We’re letting in a small number of teams at a time, so we can’t promise a date. If you join the waitlist, we’ll be in touch.
